Ideal for a snowman and some great photography, snow in and around Oberon is a winter delight. The area usually sees about three or four good snowfalls in the season.

Often, a single snowfall will see snow lying around the higher areas of our district for 24 hours or so. If a heavy fall of snow occurs, or there are snowfalls over a few days, then the snow can last for up to a week.

Then our town becomes ‘Snowberon’!

We have spectacular scenery right on our doorstep. Potential locations in the region for snow are usually Shooters Hill, Black Springs, Porters Retreat, Edith, and Mt Werong.
