One of the best country motels we have stayed in. Everything we needed was provided and the staff were friendly and helpful.TIP: Don't eat at the golf club Worst Thai food ever.TIP 2: Don't go to the Oberon Cafe for coffee. Milbray is the best.

I stayed here during the labour day long weekend as this and Titania Motel were the only two places that had rooms available.I called up both places to confirm if the rooms were available and I mentioned to Highlands that I was booking the room for my parents and was going to stay with my wife and 3 year old in Titania as it had a double bed and a single and highlands only had the double bed.Last minute my sister wanted to come to we decided to swap places and give them the one with the extra bed and I mentioned this to Titania and they were more than accommodating.I checked in to Highlands and this is where the show started. I was given a rundown of all the "rules" then went into my room. It was then I noticed the other person's I'm assuming is the husband kept walking around and so did the lady. We went out for a short time and came back to the room and my wife and son went in for 5 minutes but I parked rear facing and didn't see the guy but he knocked on the door and startled my 3 year old and told my wife I have to park with my car facing forward. The guy then came to my car and told me to face forward. I don't see what the big deal is and I don't understand why you wouldn't wait a bit then knock as ask the car to be moved. Then the next morning both the male and female were next door and the female asked how many people are staying and I said two and she said she thought my parents were staying and that it's only for two people etc. I said it's a 3 year old and that I would pay extra if they wanted me to.This ruined my mood and time in Oberon. I was there for the weekend as I have a large investment firm and was potentially going to invest millions into the community and provide jobs but these two dinosaurs were on a power trip.I guess this is all they have left to hold to.These types of dinosaurs need to be called out as they are anti LGBT, First Nations and anti human. Thank god in the next 10-15 years these types of backwards minded people will be extinct.These two are the worst hosts of any accommodation that I have ever stayed in. If you have any dignity or self worth please don't stay here.

Highlands Motor Inn is a lovely place to stay when in Oberon. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The beds are comfortable. The shower is the best. The air conditioner was very efficient at heating our room. The staff were very friendly and attended to our issue of a problem with the door knob sticking very quickly. The only issue was no phone in the room to contact reception when we couldn't get out of our room. We used our phone to ring the motel. The compendium in the room was very helpful in finding places to eat while in town. It is located within walking distance of the town. I would recommend a stay at Highlands Motor Inn.

My husband and I stayed at the Highlands Motor Inn recently. In short we had a comfortable stay and would return.It is in very good condition, well maintained and very clean. The Queen room was spacious and comfortable, the bathroom has been modernised with a walk-in shower. Split system a/c warmed the room quite quickly for us. Location was good, being a short walk from the main commercial street with cafes, restaurants, bakeries and take-away shops.Only downsides as we were concerned were that It took ages for the hot water to come through when we wanted it (the water in the pipes may have been sluggish as the night temperature was freezing). Soap and toiletries were in those wall type canisters which I don't personally like, but I loved their body moisturiser. Bath towels were a generous size and fluffy.

Husband and I loved our stay here. The room was charming and had every amenity we could need. The bathroom looked to be recently updated with beautiful tile in the shower. Electric blankets on the mattress warmed up instantly and gave us a wonderfully restful sleep on a cold winter night. The manager was kind and attentive and made sure we were happy. Being located just a block off from the main road through town meant we could walk out to find great shops, restaurants, and entertainment. We loved our stay in Oberon and would love to visit again.

This is the best accommodation so far we went. My daughter literally enjoyed the room and the cleanlineas. The ambience is very calming to the extend she won't go back to Sydney.For me the biggest impact with their accommodation that fascinates me is them having a shampoo, conditioner, shower gel stuck on the wall so cool and same on the sink having a hand soap, hand and body lotion and shaving gel. Really minimalist and helpful for those who doesnt want to carry much.Love the place so peaceful

My husband and I and at times our extended family have stayed here many times over many years. The hotel is always very comfortable, extremely clean, well positioned and the owners Diana and Ian always most welcoming. We thoroughly recommend the hotel as a great place to stay.

What a wonderful Motor Inn to stay in. We were there for 4 nights and can't recommend the managers high enough. The rooms were immaculate, no shortage of hot water for the rain shower, gardens were so well kept. It was an absolute pleasure staying here. It is such a short walk into town, for Dine in breakfast, lunch or dinners, you can get delivery services to your room also. 10 out of 10 from us, we will be back.

The room was very clean, and the beds were comfortable . The shower was excellent and the cleaning services were excellent too.The main thing about that hotel is about great costumer service and staff are really friendly and helpful.Best place with affordable prices.

We loved the Highlands Motor Inn. Located in centre of Oberon, but so peaceful and quiet at night. Our room was spacious and clean, beds and pillows were comfortable, newly renovated bathroom. Owners were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend this motel.

We stayed in the place for two days and night. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable . The shower was excellent and hot. The cleaning services were excellent too.
